A Stone CNC Carving Machine is a computer-controlled cutting machine specifically designed for engraving, carving, and milling hard stone materials like marble, granite, slate, and jade. It is a type of CNC Router built with the durability and power to handle abrasive stone.

How Does It Work?
The working process of a stone carving machine follows these key steps:
1. Graphic Design:
An operator creates or edits the desired pattern, text, or 3D model using CAD/CAM software on a computer.
2. Toolpath Generation:
The digital design file is imported into dedicated CAM software. This software translates the design into a set of instructions known as G-code. During this step, crucial parameters are set:
Operation Type: Contour cutting, relief carving, or 3D sculpting?
Tool Selection: Choosing the right tool shape and size (e.g., V-bit, end mill, ball nose).
Depth of Cut: Determining how deep the tool will engrave.
Feed Rate and Spindle Speed: Setting the movement speed of the machine and rotation speed of the tool.
3. Machine Setup:
The stone slab is securely fastened to the machine's workbed.
The selected cutting tool is installed into the spindle.
The operator performs a "Z-axis zeroing" process to establish the starting point on the stone's surface.
4. Automated Carving:
The G-code file is sent from the computer to the machine's controller.
The controller interprets the commands and drives servo motors or stepper motors.
These motors move the spindle assembly with high precision along the X, Y, and Z axes:
The X and Y axes move the tool horizontally to trace the pattern.
The Z axis moves the tool up and down for plunging, lifting, and controlling depth.
The rotating tool bit attached to the spindle gradually mills away the stone material, precisely replicating the digital design onto the physical stone.
5. Post-Processing:
After the carving cycle is complete, the stone is removed from the machine for cleaning, sanding, and polishing to achieve the final finish.
