Panel saws are suitable for materials such as MDF, particleboard, ABS board, PVC board, solid wood, and other wood structures with similar hardness. Working principle: The movable worktable is moved back and forth by hand to perform sawing. The marking saw pre-cuts the wood, and the main saw blade can be speed-adjusted using a chuck.

Adjustment of the sliding worktable relative to the saw blade:

To avoid the saw blade teeth cutting again when lifted, a cutting zone should be left. That is, the sliding worktable should not be completely parallel to the saw blade. The difference in parallelism is 0.1m for every meter behind the blade. Similarly, the pre-cutting saw blade should also have a very small cutting zone.

To test the cutting zone, the wooden board was clamped onto the sliding worktable. After cutting, stopping the machine, and pulling it back, it was found that the friction between the wooden board and the saw blade was very small, while there was strong friction during sawing, indicating a large cutting zone.

1.Adjustment methods:

(1) Loosen the two vertical bolts connecting the slide seat to the machine bed.

(2) Use the anti-given nuts on the two sides of the worktable bolts to adjust the parallelism. (There should be a certain gap between the sliding worktable and the fixed worktable.)

(3) Tighten the vertical screws.

(ii) Adjustment of the guide device on the fixed workbench of the panel saw relative to the saw blade

The left side of the saw blade should have a parallelism difference. To check the adjustment, install the saw blade and correct the side profile by using the parallel guide device. If the guide device is well adjusted, depending on the cutting in the diameter direction of the saw blade, cut a one-meter-long test piece. The test piece should not exceed 0.15mm.

2.Adjustment method:

(1) Loosen the outer nut of the two bolts holding the round rod

(2) Adjust the two anti-loosening nuts and tighten them

(3) Fix it to the machine body with nuts

(iii) Adjustment of the vertical angle cutting of the panel saw

The horizontal support plate of the sliding worktable is used for sawing vertical angles. To adjust it correctly, take a piece of wood, saw two vertical surfaces, and use a square and feeler gauge to calibrate it. The calibrated length is 0.24mm over a 500mm measurement.

3.Adjustment method:

(1) Loosen the handle below the outer end of the horizontal support plate.

(2) Rotate the black star-shaped handle on the side.

(3) After calibration, tighten all bolts.

(IV) Height Adjustment of the Sliding Table Relative to the Fixed Table of the Panel Saw

The sliding table should be 0.3mm higher than the fixed table to avoid friction when pushing the wood. If any abnormality occurs, the fixed table should be adjusted using the support bolts at the four corners of the sliding table.

4.Adjustment Method:

(1) Raise the table, loosen the lower nut, and tighten the upper nut.

(2) Lower the table, loosen the upper nut, and tighten the lower nut.

(3) Inspect and adjust the parallel guide mechanism.

5.

(V) Side Adjustment of the Panel Saw Blade

The gap between the worktable and the saw blade is already adjusted to a very small size at the factory. The saw blade shaft is mounted on a cast iron bracket and held at both ends by two threaded pins, one of which is on the side of the chip discharge groove, and the other is inside the base.

Adjustment Method:

(1) Loosen the anti-loosening nut

(2) Loosen the threaded pin on the side that tends to move

(3) Tighten the opposite pin

(4) Tighten the anti-feeding nut

(vi) Adjusting the Stability of the Panel Saw's Sliding Table

Four pairs of nylon rollers are installed on both sides of the slide. The cylindrical surfaces of the rollers roll on the bottom plane of the slide seat, preventing any bumps or jolting that may occur during the movement of the moving table and ensuring its smooth rolling along the guide rail, guaranteeing stability during normal machine cutting.

Because the rollers are eccentric, they are easy to adjust. Loosen the outer cap nut, gently lift the roller upwards with your fingers, and then tighten the nut to allow the moving table to roll smoothly along the slide seat.

(vii) Adjusting the Parallelism of the Main and Secondary Saw Blades of a Panel Saw

If the secondary saw blade is not parallel to the main saw blade, burrs or steps will appear on the cut surface of the veneer board. Therefore, adjustment is necessary. Use a wrench to turn the hexagonal support rod at the front of the secondary saw blade, moving it inward or outward to achieve parallelism with the main saw blade.
