1. Roller sander: Roller sander is a machine that wraps abrasive cloth around the cylindrical surface of the roller to sand the parts. The machine tools can be divided into single roller and multi-roller, manual feed and mechanical feed, single-side sanding and double-side sanding, vertical and horizontal. Single roller is mostly used for calibrating and coarse sanding of square materials and panel components below 400mm; multi-roller is used for mass production, calibrating and fine sanding of wide-format (800-2500mm) plates, plywood, plywood and flat frames.
2. Disc Sander: Disc sanders use sandpaper attached to a grinding disc, which rotates to sand flat or curved surfaces. Depending on the disc's mounting position, they can be categorized as single or double disc, vertical or horizontal, and with the grinding wheel positioned above or below. Typically, only 30% of the disc's diameter is utilized in production, making them suitable for furniture and wood mold making. This type of machine has low production efficiency and is rarely used.
3. Belt Sander: A belt sander uses an endless abrasive belt stretched across two or more pulleys. The rotation of the pulleys creates a cutting motion on the belt, processing the part. Belt sanders are categorized by structure as horizontal or horizontal, single or multiple belts, and manual or mechanical feed. Belt sanders with a belt width of less than 400mm are considered standard belt sanders, while belts with a width of 600mm or more are considered wide belt sanders.
Wide-belt sanders are highly automated sanding machines widely used for sanding large-format artificial boards, panel furniture parts, and solid wood. They can achieve precise sanding (i.e., ensuring both the working thickness and the surface finish). They are available in single, double, or multiple belt configurations; with belts positioned above, below, or on both sides of the worktable. Feeding options include track feed and drum feed.
4. Brush Sander: A brush sander uses a series of brushes and sandpaper staggered around the circumference of a cylinder, with the other end of the sandpaper wrapped around a sleeve. As the cylinder rotates at high speed, the sandpaper is pressed against the workpiece surface using its own centrifugal force and the elastic force of the brushes. Brush sanders are used for sanding formed surfaces.
5. Combined Sander: This machine can combine roller and disc sanders, disc and belt sanders, or lathes, four-side planers, and fine-sanding machines for fine sanding and polishing.
6. Special-Shaped Sander: This machine is typically used for non-flat surfaces. Four sets of sanding rollers sand the panel from four directions, providing excellent sanding results for even concave and convex surfaces, effectively replacing manual sanding.
