Differences between Single &Double wire feeders:
@1.Single wire feeder refers to feeding and controlling the welding wire through one wire wheel, while double wire feeder refers to feeding and controlling the welding wire through two independent wire wheels.
@2. Different applications Single wire feeder is suitable for relatively simple welding processes, such as butt welding or multi-layer welding. Double wire feeding is suitable for welding processes with higher requirements, such as high-quality and high-speed welding of thicker workpieces, or two welds can be controlled separately when performing fillet welding.
3. Different advantages and disadvantages The advantages of single wire feeding are simple control, low cost, and easy operation; the disadvantages are that the quality of the weld is easily affected and the welding speed is relatively slow. The advantages of double wire feeding are strong stability, fast welding speed, and more stable weld quality; the disadvantages are complex equipment and high cost. So if your welding width and height are not standard, or the lower end of the material is not standard, and the gap between the two plates is too large, you need to upgrade your wire feeder into double.
